So on our 95's if your looking at the front on the engine from the front of the car, i see that there is coolant in the pockets behind the timming cover. Any ideas on where it could be leaking from? You cant see it driping tho? peace

I did put a trick flow upper and lower on but i cant think if it was like this before also? Also put a new thermostaet gasket as well with the lower. If the lower was leaking that would a vacum leak form hell wouldnt it? peace

Yes sir that could be a vacuum leak. I'd dry that area off real good, then keep a CLOSE eye on it for the next day or two, and see where it starts to come from.

Good points guy's and thanks for all the suggestion's! If it were a intake leak it would run like crapola ? So i wont do anything if it is a leaking intake till i do my AFR'S in a couple months. And the car runs fine so i dont think it's an intake leak. peace

most likely its the thermostat.

dont use the cheap thin paper gasket. make a template of it onto a piece of cork. then cut it out, coat both sides in rtv. put it on.

havent ever had it leak again after using cork gaskets.

Don't use Great Stuff on a car. :nonono: Its an insulating foam and I don't think its appropriate. There are also different kinds of this stuff and I KNOW some kinds of it will eat away at metal. I know this because at the power plant where I work they used it to seal in some wiring and we couldn't figure out where we were getting faults... turned out the great stuff ate away at the wire insulation and at wires themselves.:owned:

A T stat gasket is like 2 bucks at NAPA. I had the exact same problem as you because I overtorqued the bolts so bad on my first t-stat change that I actually screwed the bolt INTO the housing. Yes, I'm an idiot. The housing had a hair line crack in it and I had to replace it... NAPA also has replacement housings for 9 bucks, and they are steel, not aluminum.

first read that

the parts we're talking about it are:

http://www.napaonline.com/masterpag...K&PartNumber=6051080&Description=Water+Outlet

NAPA calls it a Water Outlet.. its the piece that juts out and is attached to the lower intake.
