I went into a Mustang only performance place where all they do is COBRAS for the most part 5.0's and Roush's...the guy behind the counter says putting a cold air kit that bends into the fender well like most mustang kits will make you lose torque (10 lbs he said for me) because of the 90 degree bend...it also causes miss readings as well because of the elbow into the fender well and says the air doesn't flow through the sensor evenly which will make the car run lean...now I've ran my car and seen the car run cooler with the intake so I dont understand how the car runs cooler but loses power...so he mentioned he doenst no much at all about V6's he said tuning it doesnt make a difference and i should just drive the car and thats all...now I have no problem staying with or taking a stock Sn95 GT from a roll so I know something is being done right with my car...just want some input for the V6 owners that know performance from a personal stance and not just what you hear or read...mainly anyone with a V6 that has put there car on a dyno or used a Gtech reader before and after a install on a cold air or works doing this kinda thing
Any gains/losses on our 6s are negligable in my opinion... basically just an asthetic mod.
