Was thinking of getting a Mac cold air kit and i was wondering if there is any benefit of getting one for my 97GT. My mods are listed below. This is the kit i want to get....

http://www.macperformance.com/store/product1.cfm?SID=3&Product_ID=224

If not, what other mod can i get to help better flow since i have a 02pi head mod.

Thanks

Try the Mac strait shot MAF system with the 85mm mass air meter. It's on partshoper on stangnet. Throttle body & plenum would be good mods with that also. Try advancing your timing another 2 degrees, I found out it works best with 91+ octane. I have the regular mac cold air intake and like it alot.

You can expect about 5-7rwhp/tq on the pullies. Not a huge amount, but it's an easy job to do and fairly inexpensive to purchase - you do need a pulley extractor tool pull the stock one off.

If want a CAI go to Densecharger.com order there TB pipe for $65 then goto Auto Zone get a K&N filter, and last but not least take your stock air box and cut the top off it and make your own custom heat shield. Don't spend $200 for that metal from that just gets hot as hell and your not going to see any big gains from anyway so go the cheap route if you really want one. unless you want for shows get the Mac kits cause it looks bad ass but I don't think it performs well.
