I have a Kenne Bell super charger installed on my '88 5.0 5 speed (converted to mass air). I have two problems that I need your help on.
1. After the car sits overnight, I start it, and it dies. I go through about 2-3 times of this starting/dieing before it runs. Then first 1-2 minutes of operation the engine wil pop and buck and sometimes die if I press the gas more than a tiny bit. After about 2 minutes of running, everything is perfect! It runs just awesome. Here's the tricky part in my mind.... If I pull off the belt (so super charger is not turning), the car starts perfectly when cold and does NOT exhibit any problem at all. HElp???
2. On hot days (above 80 degrees) I drive the car, shut off the engine, come back 15 minutes later and it starts and dies. I eventually get it to run and have to rev it a bit to "clear it up". Almost seems like vapor lock. I have new 255 lph pump, new aftermarket fuel pressure regulator (it does not seem to be leaking internally, I checked for that). I run 160 degree thermostat. It really seems like vapor lock. It only happens after engine compartment gets fully up to temp and outside temp is hot. Any ideas on how to solve this?
