I had corresponded earlier with 302 coupe and he was very kind to share his insight with me in this regard. I would like to survey as much of the SN population and get input in addition to his valuable opinions.
My heads are going in for porting and these are the post flow numbers:
Intake/Exhaust .100" 79/61
Intake/Exhaust .200" 145/121
Intake/Exhaust .300" 198/168
Intake/Exhaust .400" 241/178
Intake/Exhaust .500" 279/196
Intake/Exhaust .600" 284/205
I have 3.70s in the back and a 3000 stall. Forged flat top pistons with 11:1 CR, forged rods, stock crank.
After hemming and hawing, I have decided to throw common sense into the wind and do the hydraulic roller cam conversion after all. I don't want to make my peak power too much in excess of 6k. I am thinking that this would be a good cam to go with it:
Comp Cams part number 35-426-8, grind no. XR288RF-HR (Hydraulic roller)

Intake: 288
Exh: 294
Dur at .050
Intake: 236
Exh: 240
valve lift with 1.6 rocker
