Hey guys, so everything is going good with my 347 build, I was initially going to just have the machine shop install the stroker kit (bottom end) but I have changed my mind and am going to pretty much let them install everything that involves rotating or moving parts, other than clutch tranny back.. anyways so I asked what the next steps for what I should buy and it looks like they kinda need everything, it is my old neighbor who owns the shop (Dave), he said he wants to mock everything up just to check for clearance issues. So it looks like I will be ordering the rest, other than intakes (as I can do this part myself) intakes injectors, etc.)
So I went with the twisted wedge specific pistons, so I am definitely going with the twisted wedge tfs heads, 1.6 rockers, etc. For now I would like to order the timing set and the cam (until next payday) I am going with the trick flow billet timing set. With the cam choice, I asked Dave and he said that cams can be a learning curve particular with different engine combo's and that when it comes to emissions that I would be better going with a combo that says its emissions legal. He said that it is more likely to go over the top and recommended going with something that says its legal, getting an emissions test done to see how I do, then from there, down the road I could upgrade my cam, I kinda am inclined to agree as cams are pretty reasonable, It would really suck to be all excited to get the car together, then not be able to drive it because it fails an emissions test so anyways... I also filled out a custom cam form through crane cams, and they responded to go with cam part #444221 So here is what I am debating:
Trick Flow Cam part #TFS-51402000 (which is the cam that comes with the street and the track heat tfs top end kits) duration 275 / 279, lift .499 / .510.
Crane Cam Part#444221 (which is the cam the recommended) duration 270 / 280, lift .533 / .544.
Trick Flow Cam part #TFS-51402001 duration 286 / 294, lift .542 / .563.
B303 Cam duration 284 / 284, lift .480 / .480
Ok, so that's a start... So for the rest of my combo, I was told that I should go with the R series TFS intake for the 347, do you guys know if that is egr compatible... You know it's hard because, you look here for advice sometimes, and it is easy for people to say ya go with this or go with that. But honestly that would be great to go big all around, but emissions testing is a reality here in London, Ontario.
Any help would be great, I am getting there... the rest of my parts for the machine shop are pretty much chosen
28oz SFI pioneer balancer
TFS timing chain
Camshaft?
TFS Twisted Wedge Cylinder Heads
Roller Lifters ?
TFS Pushrods 6.7inch

After the above parts I think I can pick up the engine and do the rest at home, I have a engine stand and hoist....
If anyone's interested here is what I've actually bought:
Stroker Kit - 347 Street Fighter Kit -
3.400 Probe Cast Steel Crank
