I am going to set-up the valvetrain this weekend and I got the Comp Cams 7701 (5.800"-6.800") adjustable pushrod checker.
I measured it at 5.764" when it was closed completely.
Where exactly am I supposed to measure from exactly? I read the Comp Cams use the gauge length, but I do not see any clear place to begin the measurement, other than the obvious tip to tip (theoretical length).
It appears every full turn is supposed to add .050".
