Hi, im new to the forum and have a question that i hope someone can help me with. I bought a 2003 theft recovery car with a stripped interior. The car needed a cluster it was stolen also. I bought one from a mustang salvage yard online from a 2003 gt. I plug it in and the car wont start. Someone told me that the computer needs reoprograming and to take it to ford. Before i have the car towed to the and pay extremley high labor rates i was hoping someone new if i could do this myself. I have both keys to the car and alarm pads(luckily). any help would be greatly appreciated.

as far as i know you should be able to remove the ecm yourself and take it to ford is probably the easiest way to do it , make sure you have the VIN number and probably the calibration code (sticker inside passenger door somewhere with 4 digits on it , probably letters and numbers) .
