One very important thing i must know before ordering a cold air intake and brentspeed tune is they speak of the strategy that is on the cars computer. How would we figure it out ? the reason I am asking is that this is a 2005 mustang gt, but i bought it in March of 2007 from a Ford dealer that actually had it on the computer after they fixed a recalled fuel sensor by the gas tank while it was being certified. So they probably updated it then. Then i just had it to the dealer for a warranty repair on the door handles and they seemed to have gone over the car but I dont know if they accessed the computer. So when I get my custom tune from Brentspeed how do they know and does it matter what strategy is on it. From what i understand they give you a tune based on information you find under the hood, so what i am saying is that the strategy that they are basing it on is from when the car is new but since its been back to ford a couple of times how does anyone know what the current strategy is if the car is a couple of years old and has been to the ford dealer for service .
My head is spinning from reading all about this stuff and I hope someone can clear up my answers.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way that I know of to check the strategy without a tuner. Your best bet is to give Brenspeed the code off the sticker on the computer. I doubt they would have reflashed the computer when replacing a fuel pump sensor.

When you get your intake and tuner, if the strategy is different than original, you will get an error. You can then use the tuner to read what your strategy is, give that to Brenspeed and have them e-mail you updated tunes for the new strategy.

There may be an easier way, but that's the best I can think of.

You will love the way the car feels after the tune, I do know that!

LOL, teaches me for not reading:bang:

One way to do this is to tell Brenspeed that you can't be sure of the strategy, and they can send you the tuner and CAI, once you have that you can D/L the stock tune and send it to them, and they will send you back the 3 tunes that would have come normally. All that can be done through e-mail, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Edit: the best idea is probably to ask Brenspeed what they think you should do, since in the end their sending you the tunes.
