Extra guages

Yup,

Any vendor, such as Mustangs Unlimited, and others that also have some Shelby stuff have 'em. Easy to install, great place for Oil Press & Volt gauges for Tach Cars.

IN the SCJ, I put in a Mechanical Oil Press & Temp Guage set, so I could keep track of the engine accurately!

I will also be doing it and I want to keep my eye on the oil pressure and water temperature. Do any of you guys have pics of the guages themselves I want to see the style that they are so I can get as close as possible to matching.

Thanks (not trying to hijack, sorry if I did)

I got mine at Branda, but they are all over ebay and other Mustang specialists. I mounted a tach and vacuum guage in mine, as mine is a non-tach car and tach dashes are going for about a grand on ebay.

The pod don't come with gauges, but buy some with a smaller edge than mine. Had to relocate the whole console assembly to make them clear the temprature controll. Anyway, here is a picture.

Oh, and with an mechanical oil pressure gauge, make sure it's tight, or you'll get a lot of oil under your carpet. Like I did this winter
Oh well, at least the floor won't rust. :rlaugh:

I finally got around to ordering the gauge pod from MustangsUnlimited a few days ago. I went to put it in last night and it will not fit. I took out the ash tray and mounted the pod with the 4 screws the ash tray was held in with. When I went to put the top of the console back on, the gauge pod hits the bottom of the wood grain trim that goes around the radio and heater controls.

Did anyone have to trim the pod to get it installed?

Nope, mine fit well except for the temperature knob hits the top of the guage bezel. Make sure the woodgrain trim is pressed onto the lower dash all the way. Attached below is a pic of my setup. Not sure how large it is so sorry 52k users :p

I had the same problem Timmy. No amount of screwing aroind would make it fit, so I trimmed the botton section of the radio bezel off. With the gauges there, yopu can hardly notice it.
