I recently purchased my first mustang, 1989 GT, and since I’ve had it I’ve noticed a constant clunking when driving it and the more I drive it the more louder it is. I have checked the u joints but nothing else so far. I have noticed The clunk gets faster and slower depending on the speed of the car and it gets worse while hitting the brakes. Nothing visually sticks out, I’m tearing it apart tomorrow morning I just wanna get some ideas on where to start

OK, I have had this happen and it is as frustrating as trying to talk to a health insurance rep denying coverage for a medication you have taken for many years.

I will save the long story. I had replaced the A/C compressor and placed the core in the box in the trunk. Duh! Everytime I gave her gas, thunk. Everytime I hit the brakes, thunk. Everytime I turned a corner ka-thunk-thunk-ka. It was almost 45 days before I returned the core. On the way home, no more thunk.:O_o:
