Contour fan install

Has anyone installed this fan? any advise would be appreciated.such as which fan controller to use. i know the dcc controller is the best but a long wait to get one. any info would be helpful. thanks

Which one is it, I believe depending on the year it could be single or dual fan. If you are doing it on the cheap, you can pick up a 40amp relay at a local auto parts store for about $20 (or about $5 on ebay) and a generic fan thermostat for another $20. Use the thermostat to trigger the relay to give power to the fans.

I used a dual fan setup out of a mercury equivalent, believe it was a 96. Because it was dual fan, I used 2 30amp relays (one for each fan).

If you buy a cheap controller, relays and wiring for an oem amp pig fan, then the first thing you should buy is a fire extinguisher. Do it right the first time. Get a variable speed controller to control the high amp surge these oem electric fans have, get a heavy duty fuse holder for the maxi type fuses and buy yourself a soldering gun and solder and solder every wire terminal connection, don't just crimp, remove the plastic on the wire terminals before crimping and soldering.
