Hello, I've got a 67 coupe that has all the manual steering in it. I want to convert to PS. I've read post's before that people have taken the power steering system from a 80's era taurus and bolted in a 67. I'm just not sure of which year to get from the junkyard, and if there are any mod's that would be necessary. I'm actually just looking to find something to use to make it easer to steer my stang when going slow speeds or pulling into or out of parking spots, If I keep this damn manual steering, My wife and I are going to have Popye arms!!! Any suggestions are welcome.

Don't bother with the junkyard R&P crap. You would be better off converting to factory style PS unless you have some real fabrication skills. There is a thread going around here about using a different steering box that has power steering built into it alread that would make the install quite a bit cleaner and would provably work better too.

To be honest, I went from manual to power back to manual and felt I wasted money doing it. If I was going to start all over, I would have spent the money on a power rack to begin with to get rid of the slop. But like Rusty said, I'd go with the factory setup, there is someone on ebay who sells the ENTIRE setup at a pretty decent price.
