I just got a 04 convertible gt and i was lucky enough to get a boot for the convertible top for free and when i went to put it on, the buttons snap in, but the tongue doesnt wanna stay in. Has anyone else had this problem????
Yep and I tried many times to flatten it out. Previous owner NEVER used it and it was folded up for 4 years...... I had it fly off numerous times. I actually tossed mine away.. I'll get another one eventually
The boot is garbage and does not fit worth a crap. You are probably thinking this can't be right I must not have installed it properly... Actually the fact is that it is crap. They easily sell for $100-200 on eBay that is where mine went. New from Ford they are about $350.
If you do manage to get it to look halfway decently fitted it will fly off the car as soon as you exceed 30 miles per hour.
