A good guy that i met in the ebay auctions is going to make you convertible guys a rear seat delete. He is using my rear seat delete from my saleen to make an outline and customize the rear seat delete. Not only to add the rear seat delete he also can make the ( GT, Saleen, 4.6L, SVT) outline on the back board. You could either have it frosted or clear. I'm trying to get some pics of his previous work done on his cobra so hang in there and i'll get you guys some pics. I baught my rear seat delete from x2cmotorsports.com for $179 just to find missing parts (that they never replaced) and really thin board that i couldn't even place my cd case on. This guy makes the bottom board really thick, but still losing weight, but hard enough to put two amps on it. Making your interior stand out. He also makes these for the hardtops. I can't really give a price but for sure it's going to be less and at a fraction of what i paid. The reason i'm post this is to see if any of you may guys and girls may want one of these rear seat delete's so post a reply here or pm. I'll try to give you guys some more details as they come.

can't wait till these come

Yellow Mustang Registry has one, too (I'm pretty sure they'll sell to any color Mustang owner)

Thats true but yellowmustangregistry has them for $169 you can get them cheaper through me. Also they don't come with the plexiglass design, which makes it look sweet having the design. I'll try to get pics as soon as i can.

how much weight can you lose? the bottom and seat back are light anyway. Worthless in my opinion

Well with some rear seat deletes you can lose up too 35 lbs. The seats are not that light due to the thickness and the weight of the leather. But that's your opinion and you entitled to that. They look great inside the car and that's my opinion. Here are some pics that were emailed to me.

This is one of the "SVT" i also have one of the pony but you guys get the idea. He also does the one for SALEEN and the Logo in the background and it looks beautiful when you have the top down. So let me know who wants one.

look bro i'm just posting this thread for people who have vert and want a show piece rear seat delete. All the details are going to come soon, including how much weight you'll save. I was told by someone on this forums that the seats combined weighed 35 lbs when i was looking for a rear seat delete myself and i wanted to know how much weight i would save.

Is it a piece of plexiglass with carpet cut over the top? I.e. is the plexiglass recessed?

Personally, I think the desgins are way too big though.

I may make my own one day. I think my rear leather seats look better than the delete though, and the vert rear seats weigh nothing as was already pointed out. Theres definately not going to be any weight savings...

look bro, im just pointing out to people the seats dont way much as it is. so try not to mislead people by telling them they will cut 35lbs by putting one in a vert.

I'm pretty sure I've read that a rear-seat delete in a vert' is worth 17 lbs.

everyone stop saying oh its not worth it or its only 20 lbs .... just shut up ... because for personal experience not only does it lose weight its an excuse so people dont jump in the back seat and u have to drive like an old a$$ asian lady with ur seat forward all the way just to fit some foot patrol in ur car...all i need is 1 passenger and thats all

Well i wouldn't say it's the easiest to take out and replace. But of course it's not permanent. It only takes 30 minutes to replce the rear seat delete and put in you back seats. The bottom of the rear seat delete comes off so you can store stuff.
