well i've been looking to get a light bar for my car. and was wondering if any of you guys have installed one and how difficult it was or have any pics of your cars with it on during the install process. thanks for any input.

I did mine by myself and it wasn't too bad. You going put in a brake light bypass switch too? (So it doesn't light up with the top up.)

I took some pictures at the beginning of the install but soon forgot about the camera.

also who makes the best light bars i've found cdc light bar for 395 shipped. also another question did FORD ever make a light bar as an option if so does anyone have that part number becuase i get 10% above cost at the dealer i work at might save a few bucks for another mod.

CDC is the one to get.
Ford doesn't sell one but Saleen sells one. But it is a CDC lightbar, just rebadged. Not sure if you can get that through the dealer but worth a look.

I got mine from mustangtuning.com for $395 shipped. I hear there is a stangnet coupon you can use to lower the price even more just do a search for it.

Like everyone else said the install was easy. I did it alone but had a helper drop the bar in place for me. The templates they give you to cut the holes can be tricky to line up right, other than that its easy.

I just took mine to Joe at Chicane Sport Tuning, he did a great job on it and was worth the professional installation in my opinion.

Fairly easy install. A little nerve wracking when cutting, but other than that, not bad.

Others have disagreed, but IMHO a cut-off switch is a MUST!!! Without it, it just isn't right.... regardless of whether you can notice it from the outside with the top up or not. Why half a$$$ it when the light bar looks sooo nice!?!??

Exactly... Otherwise the driver may be able to deal with it but from the outside your car is going to look like a rolling whorehouse with the inside lit up red at night when you hit the brakes.

Do the cut-off switch.

If you do you own install,TAKE your time. Mine took 6 hours..2nd one took 4 hours. The templates are right on.Disconnect the seat belt from the floor. After you get your light bar..buy the Ford mini tonneau cover. About $115.
Follow the instructions fully.Cut the front holes.Make sure the brackets in the pillar are secure. Mine slipped..had to go a little backwards. Where are you in NJ ...maybe I can help you if you get stuck or have questions. Feel free to PM
