I have looked here on the forums and didn’t see anyone talking about a similar issue so if I missed it sorry but I am working on my dads ‘93 fox and I replaced the top cylinders and lines well I believe I have bleed it right I ran it up and down a few times 3-5 with the plug out and filled it up each time well there in lies my issue the passenger side cylinder seems to be lazy/ sluggish the drivers side will come up super quick but the passenger side is slow it comes up a little but the drivers side seems to drag it along with it then when the top is about 1/4 way up it snaps to attention and gets with the program I don’t see any air in the lines (they are clear) the cylinders and lines are from lmr I am suspecting I got a sorta bum cylinder that may have an internal leak [a small one at that if it is the issue] when the top goes down the passenger side also sticks up a little and you can push it down flat by hand any help/ suggestions are appreciated second photo is going down how the passenger side is slower than the drivers side

I’m just going to ask that if you are using talk to text please speak the punctuation and this is just one huge run on sentence.

@limp - I think he is in your area of the world and don’t you replace stuff on your very?

Is anything binding? I believe the hydraulic side will only work as well as the top mechanism will allow. So if any of the joints are sticky or if something is out of alignment, the hydraulic system will essentially "adjust" - meaning that the system will operate in the direction of least resistance. Think of it as a restriction in the lines, even if there is no actual restriction.

It was operating fine before I replaced the cylinders and lines aside from the fact that it was leaking on the passenger side.

With the top cylinders disconnected is the top smooth like no binding on one side or the other?
