Hi, Helping my friend do the torque boxes on his very rusty 66 convertible. All the searching I have done has show me pics of doing TB installs on hardtops. It was a little confusing seeing it go in since the replacement different from the original sheetmetal. Does anyone have any pics for a convertible?

I think we have it mostly figured out but I had a question, below is a picture I ripped of Dodgestang's website (thanks!) and marked up. The lip that is circled, is that left in place? cut and welded? or maybe beaten flat and welded? I am not sure what to do with it.

I appreciate the input.

I have no idea if this will help you but... here is a pic of my 65 vert passenger side original torque box... I'd have to check tonight to see if the two edges are flush but the two surfaces are definitely spot or plug welded together....
