Hi all,

I had a little piece of weatherstripping fall from the passenger side of my convertible '01 stang. It looks to have some adhesive on it as shown in the pic below.

Can you guys tell me where this thing goes?

I can't find any place for it, but my passenger side now leaks when it rains.

Any help is much appreciated.

It looks like from where the windows go in and out of the car. There is that sort of weather stripping on the outside and inside of the windows. From the size it looks like it could be from around the rear quarter windows. Let me know if you're not understanding my explanation.

I'm not sure I'm understanding. Are you able to clarify or show on a pic?

That's exactly what I was trying to explain to him... was my explanation that bad?

If I have some time tomorrow I'll take a picture and put some arrows in.

No, you're explanation was fine - I'm just having a rough week.

I believe you're referring to the vertical trim strips on the quarter windows - Is that correct. If so, all of that is still in place. This piece is about 2/3 the length of those pieces. Although, it's tough to tell from the pic.

NO... the horizontal trim that is part of the body where the window slides in and out of the body panels...

Hey GDawg,

I checked all of the trim around the quarter windows, and I'm good there. Everything is in place. I didn't think it came from there as I appear to be leaking more toward the front of the car. I have a question though...

Is there a piece of weather stripping similar to that shown in my first picture that is supposed to be on the under/lower side of the passenger side A-pillar?

YES! Actually there is and it is a bit shorter than the pieces I've shown you. Up against where the speaker is, there is trim for the window. And yes, they are vertical... It's two pieces like I showed you but they are tucked into two other pieces of outer/inner trim.

First picture... in the front there are two pieces of trim tucked in between two pieces of rubber trim...

You can see where I'm separating the outside trim from the inside trim. Your piece looks like an inside trim...

Hey GDawg,

It wasn't the areas you highlighted in the previous picks, as everything looked good there. I believe I found the location up underneath the A-pillar. I don't have a digital camera, otherwise I'd get a pic of it. It's visible when you open the door though. I'm thinking I'm good and sure appreciate your help!!
