Converting interior

As some of you may know, I'm planning on buying a 95 GT and the car I found has the 2 tone black and tan cloth.

I want to convert to all black interior, and I don't wanna pay to buy whole new interior parts. My best option seems to be painting the existing pieces, and I have a friend who does this work and everything I've seen has been quality.

My question is how do I keep the tan pieces from looking weird after the black paint? Should I sand them and apply a primer of some sort?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you might want to check the junkyards around too. you can get stuff really cheap. it might be cheaper to that.

theres some dye that 50resto.com sells that a lot of the fox body guys have used and gotten great results with. i would also get the cleaner that they sell with it so that everything comes out nice.

How hard is it to swap out the dash and center consoles? Mainly the dash area.
