What is needed at the machine shop to make a non roller 351w block a roller block? Also, I know that comp cams, and crane sells kits for this conversion but I cant seem to find it on their web site, does anyone know the part# for it?
Not to my knowledge if your using those link bar lifters. Only machining would be if you were drilling and tapping the block for the spider lifter hold down which you dont use with the link lifters.
Pretty much. In a stock setup, the dogbones keep the lifters true to the cam. The spider keeps them in place. The link bars physically attached to the lifters in pairs. No need for the spider.
