Not literally by any means, but I got a leak I just noticed today and it seems to be coming from the part of the passenger firewall, below where the heads and toward the bottom. Looks like a drain or something. From what I recall the heater core has only two tubes running to it, but could this be like a drain or something that is leaking? I dunno, maybe i'll post some pics if I can't find any help with my description.

So its comming from the block or the firewall? If it is the fire wall odds are it is the heater core or atleast the hose from the heater core have a hole in them and they are spraying on the firewall.

Here's a pic, if it shows up. It is on the firewall though and reminds me of the plug that is on an air mattress. I was guessing heater core, but I didnt' realize there was a drain or evaporator or whatever there. Alright, kinda not that great of pics, but if you boost up the brightness you can see it, it's below the vac lines that are the black lines on the top left corner and that is my cai by the throttle body on the whole right side there. In the pic on the left you can see the valve cover on the right side and it is directly to the left and slightly down right by the metal line there.

I would look into getting that heater core changed. Do a search on here some people have been able to change it out fairly easily and quickly.

that's is exactly what mine did when my heater core took a poop. That is the weep hole (drain hole) for the heater box. Your heater core is leaking into your box and draining from the hole

Is yours A a/c car and hours of work to swap it? My heater core was easy just remove glove box then a small cover and slide it out. maybe 1/2hr in and out.

yep the heater core is leaking inside the box and showing up on the ground just below the rubber gromet on the firewall.

Well depends on the year, if you have A/C thats close to an 7 hour job i think. I did mine and it took all day. thats with air tools and a mini electric screw driver. its a pain i tell ya, a pain. The whole center consel and dash have to come completly out, and to get the a/c lines off is terrable also if there are a little rusty. well if you do do this good luck. :SNSign:

If you dont have ac and dont plan to ever put it back, you can elimatinate pulling the dash completely. There are a few threads that go into detail changing it out. I did mine in about 2 hours and it was the first time I ever changed one in a mustang. 1/4 air ratchet and assorted torq bits, and sockets will be your new best friend.
