I noticed coming home from work my Engine Temp gauge was creeping up to the red mark, but would keep bouncing down and up. When I got home, I opened up my hood and it smelled like coolant real bad. I checked under the car and I have a coolant leak coming from right behind the raidiator. Anyone have any clue what it could possibly be??

I would carefully clean it up and start it and watch (BE real careful about the moving fan, serpentine belt, hot coolant etc). Coolant is very good at running down things, making it tough to find the source.

That said, when water pumps let go and start leaking through the weep hole, the fluid can run down the lower hose and fall onto the ground in the neighborhood of the radiator. I think you will just have to check it over.

Good luck.

Your rad either has a hole in it, or the water pump is shot.

I think it's your pump though just based on where you said the leak was.

I'm assuming you checked all your rubber hoses for any cracks or splits?
