I have coolant leaking at the waterpump and I was wondering if it is safe to just drive my car around the block every now and then? I got the mach at school but I will be sent away in the army and plan on putting the fox in storage, but I am gonna have my dad take it out every now and then. Is that ok or do I need to get a new waterpump and hoses? When I last took it out the temp rose immediately and the coolant light came on.

Personally, I'd fix it. 2-3 hours to do a water pump.

Yeah, it's a quick cheap fix, just go for it

replace it its easy and inexpensive and just think how you will worry if you don't do it. you don't need anything else to worry about when your away from home in the military...good luck and god bless you and thanks for defending our country....

What brand should I get and where do I get it from? I also wanna get the stainless steel hoses, where can I get those?

get the pump from advance or autozone. not sure where to get the hoses from though.

Well i would go for the polished one from www.summitracing.com. Iwould'nt drive it around but if your ONLY going AROUND THE BLOCK then just top it off before hand. peace
