In reference to my '01 GT I have a coolant leak from my intake directly below my theremostat. Is this a simple gasket leak or a job for Superman? Let me know what you think...

Is the thermostat housing aluminum or plastic?

If your coolant crossover on the intake is plastic, you should be able to get a whole new intake from ford at no cost due to the extended warranty on the intakes. The plastic crossover is prone to cracking, and their were lawsuits against ford over the design. As long as your car came from the factory with a plastic crossover, you should be covered.

Read the sticky at the top of the page regarding 'cracked intake manifolds' ...

But yeah, you should definitely be entitled to a new one at no cost from Ford. Gotta love these intakes!!!! We should make a poll to see how many members' manifolds have cracked. Mine sho' nuff did!
