I have coolant coming out of this thing. It leaks out about 1 cup in 5 minutes. But it only does this when the car is turned on. It is on the firewall directly below the two heater hoses. Anybody know what it could be?

thanks

If i'm looking at the pic correctly it looks like the evaporator drain. I'm guessing you need a heater core.

yup looks like heater core... turn your heat on and see if it stinks like antifreeze or if your windsheild fogs up near the bottom (mine did that last time)

Heater core my friend... go to autozone and smack the heater core for $20, take 2 hours out of your time and install. Yeah 2 hours, don't fall for other tutorials telling you 6-9 hours because it's not true. I found out how it can be done within an hour without taking off your "STEERING COLUMN??!?!?!" from here.

THANKS YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heater cores are not that tough to replace......maybe its just because i have taken so many out but it just seems easy....if you are going to bypass it then go ahead and take all the steps to delete it..... no sense in lugging around all that weight a cludder when you dont have to!
