I had to put mine on the passenger side, I kept the overflow mounting bracket from my old Black Magic fan so I used it. You can get an aluminum bar from the hardware store and bend it up in a vise easily to make some kind of bracket.

If you still have the stock shroud and tank you can try this http://forums.stangnet.com/755550-e-fan-stock-shroud-how-check-out.html

I have a 91lx. I recently put a mishimoto radiator in my car. I threw the
stock overflow bottle out and bought a summit 1 liter bottle for $15. I then
mounted it below the air box on the passenger side. I mounted the bottle
low so it is not too noticeable. I hope this helps. I should also add that
I do not run a fan or shroud so I had a lot of room. I ran the overflow
hose accross the top of the radiator and down to the bottle. My car is
getting frame ties so I cannot send pics at this time.

smaller canister is the overflow. this is a recirculating one - it uses a syphon tube inside.

it's a moroso billet aluminum one that i purchased through summitracing.com. i had it powdercoated black and i attached it using a t-bolt style mounting bracket.

so as far as mounting goes, weather is the stock tank or an aftermarket one, should the tank be above or below the radiator, ive heard both ways. or does position depend on the type of tank i use?

below, so the radiator can drain into the tank. the radiator will suck the coolant back into the tank

edit: just make sure you get a recirculating tank and not just an overflow/catch can

huh? dont mount the tank above the little "nipple" where the fluid comes out on the radiator.
