I was installing my afr heads last night and noticed the front coolant passages were blocked by the felpro gasket. idk if that how they always were...i never looked before. anybody have anything good or bad about this?
well it seems the issue here is the gaskets. make sure where it says "front" on the gaskets is to the front, and dont worry about which side is up unless they say that.
heads and gaskets (OHV heads anyway) are designed to be interchangeable from side to side. therefore, they will have twice the coolant passages of what they need. coolant flow is determined by the gasket, and which port(s) is/areare blocked. so just make sure youre installing them the right way, and you'll be fine.
