Looking for info on eleminating heater tubes along intake & what to do with temp senser. Thanks

Why are you eliminating it?
If you are getting rid of it you may be able to adapt the sensor into the lower intake where the tube nipple went.

I was thinking the same thing,was just wondering if someone has allready done it & had parts needed info. I am removing heater box assembley,someone allready removed evaporator & all a/c lines.

No prob. It’s the ECT sensor for the computer.

Ect does that stand for electrical controlled transmission. Would that still be needed for a 5sp transmission?

It's stands for Engine Coolant Temperature.... the only way you don't need it is if you are converted to carburetor.

Engine Coolant Temperature sensor
Monitors engine temp for the computer so the computer can adjust from cold start (think choke for fuel injection) to operating temp.

No more wives, in season or not, there is a girl on the other end of the couch that puts up with my crap and still make me cookies!!
Those two sensors talk to the computer and are very important.

I would think air temp would've closer to where air enters intake.

It measures the incoming air about as close to the combustion chamber as it can, just as you are about to add fuel.

Coolant temp sensor for the temperature gauge is in same area, a little closer to corner of intake. Its a single wire going into it.

While on the coolant pipe thread, after removal the other heater pipe goes to water pump. What is everyone doing with it plugging it off at pump & do you keep the other hose from pump to thermostat on or plug them to ? Thanks
