Cooling Fan Not Working

what are the temps for the stock fan to kick on...

with a/c on my car wont go past 210
but with it off itll creep up to 220-225ish
My foggy memory is saying that the low speed comes on at 208*F and the high speed comes on at 226*F.

BDAWK, why do you think autos burn up fans faster? I had not heard that before.

Everyone: Thanks again for all the help. I really appreciate it.

Turn out, the fan runs when I turn on the A/C. It must be the sensor then, which I'll replace. I would've been lost without your help, especially bjl95mustang.

Thanks guys.

I think its because the trans lines run through the radiator and it causes the fan to kick on more.I dont know about any one else but when its warm outside it almost seems that the fan is on all the time.My car keeps cool though, the needle on the gauge barely reaches the n on normal.just a guess of mine.I burned out two motors already.

Thanks for the info. I thought your line of thinking might be something like that. With all the folks running manual fan switches, I dont think there is much difference. and the trans cooler should not significantly increase the coolant temps.
