cooling question

Stock fan, stock radiator and 180 degree thermostat, no cooling problems here.
I am using a flex fan W/ shroud and have a griffin. I don't have any prolems now, its cool as a cucumber, but I will propably need an electric once I install the blower because of clearance. Last electric fan installed did not work well.

I have a Spal fan; I think it’s a 16 inch puller with about 2300 cfm. I had a pusher but that didn’t work for me. When I bought it I assumed the center of the fan would be centered on the water pump, but there is more room if you don’t do that. I ended up offsetting the fan about half an inch to one side witch gave me enough room. The only thing that you might not like is that it pulls 22 amps but my stock alternator has been fine for a year. The fan only comes on when it is above 60 degrees out or when I’m in lots of traffic.
I have a 4 row radiator with an aftermarket water pump. I'm sure you have less room in your 66, good luck.

Modine 4 row radiator, Hot Road Air electric fan with adjustable thermostat, March pulleys...clearance? about 1/2"...

Skip the 4 row radiator and use a 3 row...saves money and space. The 4 row is overkill. The electric fan helped immensely.

go with the $200 one in summit by flexalite (400-150). its loud and big, but i know a few guys with one. i still have a pumpdriven fan, but will eventually go with a powerful one. buy a good one the first time

as far as radiators are concerned, a three row should work with a street car. what i found was that my radiator kept plugging up with chunks of my engine block. i put a Gano filter in and it hasnt overheated since
