I cut a rectangular opening in my radiator support just for the trans cooler, it gets full airlflow through the grill, just like the rad. Since the cooler is black, it's not noticeable at all. Plus, it was good way to cut out some rusty sheetmetal from where the battery had taken its toll, lol.

Any pics of this? Never really thought about that. I personally didn't like the look of the trans cooler in front of the radiator unless it was an oil cooler in a drag pack car

not the neatest job in the world, but it works. I had to widen the radiator support 1.5" on each side to get full air to the radiator core, quick work with a cut off wheel and a angle grinder. The top bracket is off of a 75 granada parts car, I cut it in half and took 6" out of the middle to get the right width then welded it back together. Might fab up some neat and tidy aluminum brackets for it sometime though. The trans cooler is to the left of the radiator, hardly noticeable tucked away in the shadows. I know you guys have 70's instead of 65-66's, but theres probably a similar way to mount it if you want to try it.

The 70 will have a larger opening in the support so cutting it probably wont be required. Here's a shot of my Northern radiator with an external cooler in front of it...

Another view from further away and before the lines were run...
