Getting ready to install my headers, and the guy at the local speed shop said to use copper gaskets. Are these any good, they were Mr Gasket brand
Thanks
Well, think of it like this....can you rip a copper gasket? No. Can you rip a regular paper gasket? Yes. Ok so which is going to be less likely to blow out and leak?
I don't have any experience with copper manifold gaskets, but I knew a guy that put copper headgaskets on a T-bird SC. It kept them from blowing under lots of boost, but they had a tendancy to seep a little bit on occasion.

Copper gaskets are good on an engine with a freshly decked block and freshly milled heads. Other combinations may seep coolant due to uneven deck & block surfaces.
