Hey all im currently deployed to iraq and have a 87gt and 96gt and the 87 is in question. im getting ready to order a hp performance turbo kit and a maf conversion as well. Now my question is im going to be upgraded the tranny to a PA performace c4 automatic and want it to be a full man shift. i was wondering if there would be a problem with this on the computer side. cause from what i was told the autos that come stock in the87s were shift controlled by the computer. so anyone think ill have a issue with this?? thanks

Your ecu doesn't control your trans shifting... those ecu's weren't used until 94(?)

There are minimal differences between the manual and auto ecu's, so you can use either MAF ecu. Your SD ecu won't work though....
There is a wiring difference that *could* make a difference though...

Will you be getting a custom tune/J3 chip with the boost?

yes i will be getting a custom tune after the turbo install is complete. well im buy a complete maf convesion anyway and ill be getting the auto ecu i just dont want to have any problems after i switch to a c4 tranny just thinking down the road a bit i guess.
