Anyone have these? How do you like them? Do they have a low seating height?

I've seen these for about $800/ea for the fronts and $150-250 for the rear depending on material. I assume I need tracks?

My SN95 seats don't cut it anymore, so looking at replacements.

Anyone have pics of the difference between cloth and microsuede?

I like the look, even though I don't need recliners. Am I reading this wrong? Looks like they sell for $800/pr

Biggest negative I've seen is that the cloth tends to fade fairly quickly, at least on the sport seats. Also sit higher than the stockers, don't know how that compares to the sn seats though.

Welll that's a bummer. That's the #1 issue I'm trying to solve.

I may have to just pick up a set of 87-89 sport seats and recover them to get my lower seating position.

Or fox recaros

So in doing more research, i stumbled across this thread on corral.

http://forums.corral.net/forums/gen...lled-corbeau-seats-but-they-sit-too-high.html

Seems that they offer a lowered seat track (pn CRB-BRACKET-D828tl) that lowers the seats 1". Downside is there may be some clearance issues with the trans tunnel. See pics for details.

I still may go this route. $850 for the fronts, $250 for the rear, XX$ for the seat tracks, and then sell off my 99-04 GT F&R seats to make up for some of the cost. I'd spend this much recovering a set of fox seats anyway, might as well get more support.

My #1 complain about the SN95 seats is they sit high. They offer no lateral support either. They look great in pictures, but when i drive my car i feel like i'm sitting on a soft fluffy cloud and it's quite a reach to 5th gear and to operate the radio. I'd like to be lower and feel wrapped up.

i forgot and just found them again, but there are adapters to fit the corbeau's on the stock fox tracks. don't know how much height difference that makes though. remind me again, are your sn seats on fox tracks or the sn tracks?

Technically both.

I had fox tracks first. I then swapped the 6-way power track on next. No major difference in height but I could tilt the front up and get some bend in my knees allowing me to slide the seat closer.

Height is only one issue. These have no lateral support. TMI has kits to convert them to a sport seat and add bolstering, but I wonder if that money would be better spent on aftermarket seats. Plus I could sell these as they are pretty mint

Starting to drive the car more and I think a seat upgrade into a more comfortable position for me might be worth investing into. I'm 6'1"

I got a set of those adapters that move the seat back and down, I put them on and they didn't move down at all, didn't like how the seat was in relation to the steering wheel. I'm a shade over 6'1" with stock sport seats.

This is kind of fresh in my mind because I think seats are my next "big" purchase, and I've been looking at Corbeaus. Don't they offer a shaved cushion option?

I have heard that they do. I guess I could call/email and have a conversation.

My concern then would be comfort, but my drives in car are relatively short

I had a pair for about a year. Sat high and felt weird. Put a set of lx seats in until I can source some recaros

Yea, if it's anything I've learned in this hobby, it's that 10 minutes on the phone with a supplier is better than 10 hours on the internet trying to get advice from strangers. . I would call and pick their brain on the matter. It's not like they've never sold seats to someone with a Fox.

IMHO I had 3 pairs of them and finally learned I dont like them. I found some basic Recaro SD's and think they are much better.

I like your seats a lot, but the main issue I can't find anything for sale, new, other than the Corbeaus. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot.

I've even seen older Flotfit's I've really liked that are just not available. I'd love to recover a set of recaros, but I've had no luck finding a set for sale locally.

I picked up a correct fox rear seat (botton and seat backs) and just need to decide on a front seat so I can recover them to match.

EDIT: I found recaro's for sale. Seems a basic Recaro specialist seat is $1K, each.

You should hit up Kevin and have him redo a set of recaros for you... Friggin awesome looking seats when he gets done with them. @95steedamustang

I'd need to find a set of Recaros first. I'm going to shelve this for a while and think about it. I'll set up some CL alerts for recaros and see what pops up.

In the meantime I've purchased an entire fox back seat. Ill sell my Fox-converted SN95 rear seat rather than hack it up.

I also found a seller selling the mounts for the rear 90-93 shoulder belts. It was cheap enough to pick up and squirrrl away and one day look into doing. My concern is welding it in securely enough to withstand a crash...hopefully which I'd never need to find out. Unsure if I'm better off leaving the lap belts, or trying to weld in this panel for shoulder belts

Would a set of leather S550 seats work for you?

I dunno. I've never sat in a pair.

My main issue is height. I want to be lower. I was just sitting in my car playing with my current 04GT seats and unless I have them full recline, my head hits the Sunroof. So I need a partial gangsta lean back to fit. Makes 5th gear, the radio and HVAC an sawkward lean forward.

Do s550 seats mount?

Seems fairly straight forward. I have been seeing some go for around $550 for a pair and then whatever shipping cost (might not be cost effective).
