Still trying to diagnose problems with a poorly running engine. I did find that I had 2 bent push rods, but I think it happened when I was swaped heads, rather than the cause of the original problem.

When I found out I had bent the rods, I pulled the tappets to check them and the cam. As I explain in my originial posting below, I don't really know much about the long block I purchased.

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=635110

When I pulled the tappets and lobes, everything was fine. But, when I checked the cam lobes, they are visually not centered in the tappet holes. They appear to be off center to the back. I not sure sure the original builder used the right cam.

Is this normal? yes, I am a newbie but trying hard to learn. thx
