Ask the first guy you see with grey hair, a gut, and a walker with tennis balls on the feet, he should be able to answer all of your questions about Corvettes.

I think you are referring to the FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe) body style.

Yep, but I've heard them as Fixed Rear Coupe, not that it makes a difference when you're describing it.

They are INCREDIBLY sleek, I'd definitely drive one.

FRC=Fixed Roof Coupe

Came in 99-00 as the "FRC", and 01-04 as the Z06. It is lighter, stiffer, and has a great look to it. I almost broke 97mph in the 1/8 with my car tonight with stock heads and a cam. They are light and really move once they hook up. I'll do a little whoring, too, though not as sick. BTW, Hotstang, how is the car doing? Have you hit the track yet?

I definitely fail to see that.

No body kit, stock wheels, no stupid paint job, no stupid stickers... a well set-up, subtle 'Vette doesn't qualify as rice IMO.

Only thing I could see as objective is the hood, but it doesn't look bad to me, and my guess is the extra space is utilized by all the nitrous plumbing. That or the color-matched cage foam, but again, it serves a purpose and it's not some ****ty yellow or lime green that doesn't match anything on the car.

Just sayin...

I can honestly say I've never heard my car called rice. And that's fine, I suppose it's not for everyone. As for the hood, the little extra rise is needed for the plumbing.

You know that's more accepted here but on the vette forum I belong to that's not the case. I think those are just in a general a bunch of older guys that are set in their ways, and hate mustangs. Whenever a topic comes up somone says something nice about a mustang the bashing starts. And it gets bad, usually attack ford in general. I then have to remind them about gov motors and how they've taken billions when Ford didn't need a bailout. I then slaughtered as well. If I posted a pic of my stang on there or something it everyone would say something like... well, it's ok, but it's still only a mustang and that's all it will ever be.

I do have to say though, one thing really nice that I wish mustang people did was wave. Whenever I'm in the vette it's like riding a motorcycle. Everyone throws a friendly wave when you pass

'Vette Etiquette. It's been around long before even I've been driving and that's a long time. And you're right, it does not extend past their own and 'Stangs seldom do it at all. Shame. But at the same time, I found the stang guys to be much more socialable and helpful at events like car shows and at the track. Go figure...

There's a billion Mustangs out there. My arm'd get tired if they all waved at me and expected one in return. I'll usually wave back at any child who waves to me when I'm driving, but I would feel odd waving to people just because of the car they drive. I'm guessing it's not just me
