I'm looking at a '98 4.6 and it drives, but 1st and 2nd gear are tricky because of a bent fork according to the owner. It definitely needs to be fixed or replaced. Has anyone had an experience with this? He thought it would be around $1K if I didn't do it myself, but I've had shops do entire transmission swaps for that price.
