since i'm saving on labor costs of the PI heads i'd figure i'd ask about this.

first of all, i have used 18K mile 00 heads that came off a fully-working GT. should i get the valves resealed? if so, how much would it cost? and are there any good shops in MD? thanx

I think I'd check before you pay to get them re-sealed to see that they're already not sealed properly in the 1st place. You'd be the one doing the sealing anyway after you drive it when you get your car back so if it was done correctly the 1st time you're still cool.

Since you will be in there I would re-seal the valves for sure.Your
engine will have to be torn apart to do that and it will be costly.
I don't know of any mechanics in MD off hand.

i'm doing it myself in my driveway. so if i do, i'll just take the heads up seperatly. how much would it cost?

so im assuming i really should do this? they're bone stock heads right off the car.
