Could I buy a new VIN Tag?

Does somebody know if is possible to buy new VIN tag (that one located near the lock of driver's door)?
The VIN tag of my car is dropping...

I believe the short answer is no. I would just remove it and store it someplace safe. The only VIN necessary for registration is the one on the dash.

Haven't found a way yet to get a new door tag. If you find one, let us know - I need a new one.

I'm a parts manager @ a new car dealership. It has never been easy for me to get them. Only time I needed them was when replacing the drivers door in my body shop. i don't work for ford any longer. You can ask the parts manager @ your local ford dealership. He will have to call ford for you.

Like stated above. It is possible but it is not easy can only be done at the dealer
