I want to flat-black the center portion of my rear bumper. How tough would it be to do myself? I know I could go the vinyl route, but it doesn't look totally complete. I want it to look like this these...

Any ideas? Or, how much could i expect to pay a body shop?

P.S. The white one is another member's that i found a while ago... the silver is my attempt to draw it in mine.

I did my own.

tape off the section, cover the rear end of the car with newspaper, and spray it. ive seen rattlecan jobs and professional jobs in person, and the results are pretty much the same both ways. but then again, i have a gravity fed spray gun that would take me all of 5 seconds to put on a even coat with the right kind of paint.

but a shop prolly wouldnt charge more than 100 for a little job like that.

I did my own. Just buy Duplicolor Bump Coating. First wet send the area a little so the pantin sticks. then blue tape off the area and cover everything with trash bags. The apply lighte coats
