Could off-road x-pipe to compliment my new Magnapack?

Need off-road x-pipe to compliment my new Magnapack...

I just installed my Magnapack and I love it. After staring at the ugly power robbing stock-h, I've decided to replace it. Looking for opinions on what to match up to it. I've thought about MAC pro-chamber and Magnaflow x-pipe. Anyone else have a Magnapack and care to shed some light? I've heard some sound clips from mustangexhaust.com and the pack' with the pro-chamber sounds nice...but its MAC. Also this is for a 02 GT 5 speed. Thanks for the help!

I was running a Bassani O/R X with my magnapack catback when i was still using stock exhaust manifolds....i went with a shorty VRS O/R X when i installed my longtubes...both are very nice pieces....

I'm running a bassani o/r x with my magnapacks on my 01gt. The sound isn't for everyone, but I like it. There was significant drone at around 2k rpm, but my 4.10's helped that

I would go with the vrs. cheaper than bassani and magnaflow. easier to install. the two piece design alows for one user to install easily. if you have a problem with the drive side seal like some do you can just pull that section down if you need to replace the studs. IT is a true x unlike the bassani. I looked at all the stainless x-pipes and the vrs seemed to be the best to me.

if you dont want a leak , replace all the studs and use blue loctite and lockwashers , no matter what brand you use , offroad pipes sould better in H rather than X versions , my .02

I have heard both magnapack with both o/r X and catted X. They sound pretty much the same. I would go with magnaflow o/r X.

JonJon has this setup I believe. I got his soundclip still. PM him for it and see how you like it.

I have the Packs along with the Pro-Chamber and it sounds sick. Really mellow at idle, and at WOT it screams. There is alittle drone around 2200 RPMs. Yes, the one concern that I had is the rust issue, but I have had mine for 7 months with no problems. I will never go to anything but a Pro-Chamber!

I have the off-road x-pipe from BBK and it sounds great. I am getting the magnaflo magnapaks because I herd they sound great together..

Lordjish... I went ahead and bought the stud replacement kit from NAPA, just to ensure that the prochamber wouldn't leak on the drivers side, which was an extra $12 or so. But other than that... I had no fitment problems. Install was fairly easy. The hardest part is removing the bolts from the passenger side exhaust manifold. But your gonna have to deal with that no matter what mid pipe you choose. Be sure to have a deep socket set, a swivel, and at least a 6 inch extension. I also learned the hard way that you should use a 3/8" drive socket set... instead of the 1/2" drive set. Using the 1/2" set I nearly stripped the header nuts... which would have been a major PITA. Luckily my neighbor saved me with the smaller socket wrenches. Spray every nut that your removing on the stock exhaust with something like Liquid Wrench... and let it sit for a few hours. That will definitely make things easier. Good Luck... Keep us posted...
