I got home from college and now the process of making my 5.0 into my dream car begins. This will take time so until then I want to fix some things I have noticed. I got my lifters replaced and I put on locking header bolts and the noise is all gone. I spoke with DSS and I ordered a level 20 331 that is for a daily driver, that will pass emissions, and that is built for a supercharger. Thats as far as I am as of now.

I notice when my car shifts gears it vibrates but only when shifting gears (factory automatic transmission)

Also I notice there is a lot of fluid that leaks out of my car. I dont know what it is. It flows out rapidly but my car never overheats. The needle on the temp guage sits between the M and the A in normal. I checking the radiator and the plasitc reservoir and they are full. I was thinking it might be from my A/C but I have never known it to flow out that fast. This is kinda strange to say but it flows out a little bit slower than when you are pissing and it stops after a while but I cant find anything thats out of fluid. Any ideas or suggestions?

Is the fluid leaking out by the passenger side firewall?

The vibe thing will take a lot more info. It could be a shudder issue, an issue with motor and trans mounts, etc.

Good luck.

Im going to guess that the fluid is water because it is clear, not warm, and looks like it is leaking from right under the plastic reservoir. Call me crazy but i tasted it and it tasted like a chemical ( i hope i dont die ). The levels never went down in the radiator or reservoir so I dont know if thats where it is coming from.

I dont have much info about the vibration except it seems like the engine is reving high and wants to shift but just does it last and then you feel the vib when it does. Also it does it when im dvinging on the highway, I think when the car goes into OD it does it then too. Is there a cheap way to stop the shudder or is that just a sign that it needs to be replaced?

When I put my new engine in im going to get a high flow water pump and a fludyne radiator. Until then is there a way I can make the car run cooler?

i dont know if i can help you with your problems, But i have some advice. i would make sure you have CLEAN fluid and filter in that tranny, if you plan on keeping it with a modified engine...it will need a bit of love i would bet. I'm not too smart with autos except that you must keep clean fluid.

The leaks, what i would do is pressure wash where you got an oily mess so its clean, then watch for the leak and you can see exactly what fluid is leaking then.

you will really need to keep the boost LOW if you plan on strapping a blower to a 331 combo with a stock block as you said above!
