OK , I've been doing a lot of research and searching the threads and still have a couple unanswered questions .

Can I reuse the bolts from the auto bellhousing to attach the T-5 bellhousing to the block?

What size are the bolts that connect the T-5 to the bellhousing?

I think thats it for now , hopefully soon I can actually start this project .

:nice: :flag:

yes you can re-use the old bell housing to block bolts, however, the top 2 bolts you'll need about 3/8's to a half inch worth of spacers under the bolt head. the t-5 bell housing is thinner than the aod where the top 2 bolts are and the t-5 bell bolts are shorter, but you can use the aod ones like i said, you just need some washers or some kind of spacer. i just used a nut and washer to take up the slack.

as for the 4 t-5 to bell bolts i'm not sure, i wanna say 7/16's ( thread size not head)but don't quote me.......look on e bay or call some bone yards and see if you can find them if no one can give you an exact size

AOD TO T5 SWAP

I just pulled the motor and AOD out of my 91 gt 5.0 today. I am changing out the AOD to a T5. Is the spacer plate between the motor and flywheel the same as a stick setup?
Also do i have to change the front yoke on the driveshaft? Any other info you can give is appreciated!!(pedal swap for clutch pedal)

Thanks, a former AOD stanger!!

the t-5 drive shaft yoke is the same as an aod so your good there.

you do need a new seperator/block plate for a t-5, their different, the aod is basically a 2 piece ( the plate and the inspection cover) the t-5 is all one piece with some other differences as well.
here's a pic you can see the diff, this is a t-5 plate
