couple of oil questions??

hi folks i just changed the oil in my 01gt and had some questions. it seems that five quarts filled her up according to the dipstick. is this the proper amount of does it hold more? also i replaced the rear end fluid with royal purple max gear, do i need to add a possi additive or is the gear oil formulated with it. thanks for any help and sorry about the noob questions.:SNSign:

Royal purple all ready has it in it. Did you change the oil filter also. If you did make sure you are seating the dipstick all the way.

we just bought the vehicle and the oil filter that we took off was alot shorter than the one i put back on. yes the dipstick was seated all the way. i was just under the impression that 4.6 engines held more oil but maybe im wrong. thanks for any help.:SNSign:
