Engine 1992 mustang oil pan capacity with and without filter change

Man, I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread now. I just changed mine a week or two ago after a 500mi break-in and it took a little under 5qts but is sitting just above the "full" mark on the factory dip stick.

I was actually worried about it being slightly overfilled, but you guys have put my mind at ease saying it should take 5qts for sure and the factory dip stick is not to be trusted. I guess I should do the same exercise and fill it with 5qts and re-mark my factory dipstick then eh?

Is 5qts still the proper amount with a turbo? Just curious if the oil circulating to it would make it necessary for a little extra in the system...

dont forget drain plug gaskets...i guess.
Don't need them if you use Fumoto drain valves. F101.
