I went to get in my car at 12:00 PM and noticed my courtesy lights wouldn't go on. It was pitch black. They just suddenly died. I have a 1969 Mach 1 and im talking about the lights right under the steering column and the dash glove box on the pass side (Also the fastback lights mounted on the top sides above rear seats) They all went out. Could it be a fuse??

A fuse would be the first place I would look....then you need to find out why it blew, if that is what it is but it could also be the headlight switch....I think all the power to that circuit goes thru the light switch but I am not sure on a 69.

The courtesy lights as well as the dash lights do run through the headlight switch on a '69. If you turn the switch all the way counterclockwise, it engages the interior lights (when the doors are closed). My switch has a small section of that turn where there are no interior lights at all.

Turn the switch a couple of times to see if it has any effect.

Okay I know that this is waaaayyyyyy later but I need to let you guys know in case anybody searches and has the same problem. I finally got on my ass and looked through my fuses and found which one was gone. Replaced it and it works like a charm. I haven't fixed it yet because it wasn't that big of deal but now that I am nearing the end I wanna get all the electronics done. Thanks for the help guys.
