Covertible top repair on my 03 Cobra

Hi,

Haven't been here in awhile. Our 03 Cobra looks like a parachute going down the interstate. I was told by the upholestry shop to fix it correctly I would need a new top @ $800. He says you can glue it but it won't last. Has anyone tried to glue the top back down and if so, maybe a little hint as to how I start and what glue to use.
