Ordered a cowl install kit for my 69 and it came with two large soft rubber blocks. I think the go between the cowl grate and the cowl to prevent rattles but I am not sure. I cannot locate them in any of the assembly manuals that I have. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes ,they go in the middle of the upper cowl off to each side of the louvers in the flat area on each side .They keep the cowl panel from oil canning .They glue to the body part of the cowl and the upper cowl rests on them .
