Cowl hood for 83-86

Hey guys. Today i went to pick up my 3in cowl fiberglass hood from Mustangs Unlimited... well, it was crap. bolt holes way off. Hood was a little long... wouldent latch at all. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I recently put a weiand stealth on my 85 gt w/ 351w... wow ran outa hood clearance. heh. Do any of you know a place to get a fiberglass 3in perferably; hood? the one from MU was 408. Im lookin in that price range... thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 on Cervini, I have purchased three hoods from them and everyone of them fit perfect. Also, while you are at it, you may need to change the hinges on the hood too. My hood on my 91 sits up about 1/2" higher than the fender on both sides by the windshield. This is because the hinges need replacement. LMR sells polished stainless steel hinges for less than stock ones.....good luck and let us know how it goes....

they cost more but they do go on the cars better

The Cervini's fit nice but they're heavy compared to the HO Fibertrends which I've heard are also very nice quality and fit.
